There are four clubs in Preston town center - Tokyo Joe's, Squires, the Warehouse and Five's. Tokyo Joe's is the main club and is situated in the center next to Yates's and Wall Street. It is extremely popular at weekends offering a wide range of music with a party feel from trance and dance to 70's and 80's. During the week the main night is Wednesday where drinks are 50p before 11pm and £1 after; entrance is also cheaper with your NUS card. An all round great night out!!!!!
Squires is THE place to be on a Monday night. It is usually an over 21's club but on a Monday it throws its doors open to us students. It is split up into two rooms - Squire's and Quince's, Squire's has a party feel playing all the latest tunes while Quince's attracts the alternative music as well as old classics from the eighties that get the crowd going crazy moshing. Drinks are dangerously cheap at 50p a drink which leaves you crawling out of the doors at 2pm. It's location is ideal for walking back to halls as it is half way between the town center and the campus.
The Warehouse is great for a change. It has three floors each playing a different type of music. The ground and middle floors play dance and chill out music while the ceiling above shakes to the sound of moshers going crazy in the attic. There isn't really a student night set up here but it is great a weekends if you fancy a change of scene and meet different people.
For any mature students out there or simply for anyone over 21 Five's is undoubtedly the best place to be. Again, due to the age restriction there is no student night set up but at weekends the club attracts the up market people of Preston. It gets its name because it has five floors to it all of which are different, if you get a chance go and see the piano bar - it is great for chilling out and very posh!!!!
